After the Fiber/Copper Spec file has been completed and all equipment defined, there is a method to export the spec file to an ascii file. This can be used for exporting device configuration information to a text file format for archiving or transferring pertinent model information to another party. The export function should be utilized every time there is a modification to an existing fiber spec so that the text file is always current with the fiber spec file in the database.

Open the OSP Fiber Spec Export dialog by clicking on File > OpenComms Settings > OSP - Equipment Spec > OSP Equipment Spec Export to display the following dialog:

Give the spec file a name and click Save to save a copy of the current fiber/copper spec.
